I can finally get back to a normal update schedule!

So I got my new computer a few days ago, and it's wonderful being able to type on a real keyboard and just being able to do things that I couldn't do on my phone! I've spent most of this week just playing the hell out of Starcraft 2, and enjoying having access to my entire music library instead of just whatever I could fit on my phone's 16 gigs of space. Anyway, here's whats up:

I'm trying to avoid losing focus here. I suppose lately I've had to come to terms with giving up on a dream, or at least a part of it. It isn't a great feeling, but such is life, I suppose. On the bright side, I think it's as good a time as any to continue writing music, lyrics, and to keep this blog updated on a reasonable schedule. I've had at least half a dozen songs in my head over the last few months, and with my new computer being around, I can finally record them. I also look forward to uploading some of my drawings from the last few months, and being able to edit them digitally. I'll begin by posting one today!

I still need to fix up the colours and the gradients a bit in Photoshop, but you get the idea. More later!

  1. HOORAY COMPUTER!! :D :D :D

That's super exciting. Do I get to hear your recordings?? I'll show you something we recorded a couple years ago...it's real awful. Haha but we were toying around with Garage Band on my macbook when it was new. :)

As for giving up on dreams, I'm right there with you. Even if it sounds lame, everything happens for a reason. Well, that's what I like to tell myself. Like with moving to Austin, Dathan and Aj can't get jobs. If that were me, I'd be screwed big time. I feel like I may have dodged a disaster there.

  2. This answers the question I asked, haha. I think I'll try to follow suit and update regularly again. Maybe I'll share some of my giving up on dreams stories, since I have quite a few.
And you should definitely share some music if you get around to recording, 'cause I would love to hear!

  3. Perhaps... I'm not sure if it's "share with other people" kind of music. It probably won't be very good anyway, haha.

@Kellyn: Man, that sucks. Hopefully they'll have better luck now that it's the holiday season?

@Sara: I'm glad you picked your blog up again! We can now be miserable writers to a select tiny audience together. Whoo?

We're a pretty sorry lot, aren't we? haha
